Walking into a FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT house is one of the most extraordinary experiences anyone can have, even if you’re not an architect. Hollyhock House feels alive with light, geometry, and quiet magic. Every room pulls you in with its harmony and detail, and you can sense Wright’s genius in every line and shadow. The volunteers make the visit even more special. They are incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable, describing the history and design with such care and responsibility that you feel genuinely welcomed into the space. A visit to Hollyhock House is not just a tour; it’s a moment of beauty you carry with you. You can park on the street front of the Park for one hour, better to purchase a ticket in advance.

The house looks very cold from the outside but the interior is very warm and calming. I could only imagine how peaceful this home was back in the day before being surrounded by so many people. The docents were very informative and I enjoyed listening to them tell the history of this home.

A great park to spend some peaceful time. I come here often with my kids. There’s plenty of space for them to run around, collect sticks and leaves — anything to keep them busy so parents can actually relax for a bit 😄 And this is definitely a place where you can do that. Today I also noticed they’re hosting yoga classes here, so if that’s your thing, feel free to join. It’s a wonderful spot to unwind and recharge.

Fabulously restored unique property. Really worth a visit. Unusual architecture, authentically restored. There are guidebooks for a self guided tours, but also several volunteers around the property to give you further information. We pre booked tickets but there also seemed to be tickets available on the day. You are asked to wear booties (available at the property) over your shoes to protect the floors. Highly recommend a visit here. It is the only Unesco World Heritage location in Los Angeles.
